I recently came into the US from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and was not asked for a passport at customs (in Phoenix). Same when boarding the plane to Phoenix. Instead, both took my picture, looked at their screens, and quickly waved me through. I asked why at both spots and was told the picture did the work. Read on to learn more:
