The Washington Post recently ran a feature story about the rising costs to clients of salon services and the negative reactions by many - as well as by some professionals -to what is seen as a trend. In this episode, I go through some of the key points in the article (many of which do not make me happy!) to add needed context. My own take somewhat aligns with the article - which hypothesizes that salons are facing serious challenges related to the price increases many have implemented. The bottom line: this is becoming a hot-button issue for salons losing clients and revenue, seemingly in reaction to their steep increases in pricing.
